Picture this. You are strapped down in a full-scale Toyota Trueno, Subaru Impreza WRX or Mazda RX7, sweaty palms on steering wheel.
Your eyes fixated on what’s beyond the windscreen, desperately trying to “drift” your way through the narrow Japanese countryside roads. If all these sound all too familiar to you, yes, we are referring to the Japanese cult anime Initial D. Now Sega is redefining the arcade gaming experience with its Initial D Arcade Stage 4 Limited system.

Make games less expensive
EA’s John Riccitiello has been shaking things up at EA lately, with everything from layoffs to the purchase of BioWare. Now he’s suggesting the company take some really drastic measures: make their games less expensive.
The $31 billion gaming industry will suffer if it doesn’t start to reevaluate its business model. Game executives at Sony, Microsoft and Activision must answer some tough questions in the coming years, like how long they can expect consumers to pay $59 for a video game. The model will be obsolete in the next decade. ‘In the next five years, we’re all going to have to deal with this. In China, they’re giving games away for free,’ he says. ‘People who benefit from the current model will need to embrace a new revenue model, or wait for others to disrupt.’ As more publishers transition to making games for online distribution, EA will experiment with different pricing models

On Monday, Nvidia launched the GeForce 8800GT, designed as a lower-cost alternative to the company’s other cards. The cards are designed to be priced at between $199 and $259, Nvidia said.
“When we introduced the GeForce 8 Series family, our most savvy customers and press demanded a product with 64 stream processors and a 256-bit memory interface to deliver more performance at the popular $199 to $259 price point,” said Ujesh Desai, general manager of GeForce desktop GPUs at Nvidia, in a statement. “Today we decided to raise the bar and deliver GeForce 8800 GT with 112 stream processors, a fast 256-bit memory interface, and our second-generation PureVideo HD technology, giving our customers an incredible value proposition.” “At this price point, gamers are getting more performance and features than ever before.”

Time to sell your old 8800GTS even 8800GTX on eBay.
According to the test, the 8800GT is only 17% than an Ultra on the test. Considering this is done on 4xAA and 8xAF, we can definitely expect better score without AA. According to a manufacturer, the 512MB 8800GT will cost you about 1,999RMB(266.2 USD).
