nVidia finally do something for the much complained stock cooler of the new 8800GT. The refreshed version looks like the old one but with a larger fan(75*10mm vs. 65*10mm).
Moreover, the old fan running from 1500 to 4400RPM which produce unbearable noise at full load, while the new fan, rages from 650 to 1650RPM. Yes, that’s right, the RPM when full loading is just slightly higher than the lowest RPM of the old one.

Eizo FlexScan SX2461W-U LCD helps colorblind users to distinguish between colors
For most computer users who spend many hours working on a computer each day, a large screen LCD display is very welcome. However, for some users — particularly those who are colorblind — working on a computer can be very difficult.
Gizmodo is reporting that Eizo has a new 24-inch LCD display called the FlexScan SX2461W-U that is aimed directly at users who are colorblind.

AMD is expected to launch the successor to its ATI Radeon HD 2600 in January, and now the two new parts’ speed details have emerged.
Graphics card maker sources cited by DigiTimes point two versions of the ‘RV635′ GPU one an XT model, the other a Pro. The former will be clocked at 800MHz, the latter at 600MHz. The chips support DirectX 10.1 - due to be released with Windows Vista Service Pack 1 early next year.

Get ready for an avalanche of new NVIDIA products
NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800 GT might be one of the best performance-per-dollar cards since the Radeon 9800, but things are moving fast at NVIDIA and there’s a lot more on the way from the company between now and next Summer.
Over the last quarter, the company moved away from the old "Gx" designation for its core names, instead opting to switch to a more descriptive system. NVIDIA’s new codenames follow:
- D8M: Eighth generation mainstream, previously named G98
- D8P: Eighth generation performance, previously named G92
- D9M: Ninth generation mainstream
- D9P: Ninth generation performance
- D9E: Ninth generation enthusiast

New corporate guidance sets AMD’s big launch date; RV670 specifications fail to leave much to the imagination
AMD’s current launch date for its next-generation desktop processor, Phenom, its next-generation desktop chipset, RD790, and its next-generation graphics processor, RV670, is tenatively set for November 19, 2007.
The story of Phenom and RD790 is all but a done deal. Phenom’s big brother, server-based Barcelona, met mediocre fanfare while RD790 production boards have surfaced here and there for almost a year.

The new G92 will launch in early December and feature 128 shader units as opposed to the 112 featured on GeForce 8800 GT, and upto 1GB RAM.
NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800 GT might be remembered as one of the most successful NVIDIA graphics cards of our time, at least according to the flurry of reviews this week. Virtually every top tier e-tailer managed to sell out of the card in less than two days.
Yet NVIDIA isn’t done yet. A G92-derivative will appear later this year with even more shader units. According to company guidance, the new G92 will launch in early December and feature 128 shader units as opposed to the 112 featured on GeForce 8800 GT.

On Monday, Nvidia launched the GeForce 8800GT, designed as a lower-cost alternative to the company’s other cards. The cards are designed to be priced at between $199 and $259, Nvidia said.
“When we introduced the GeForce 8 Series family, our most savvy customers and press demanded a product with 64 stream processors and a 256-bit memory interface to deliver more performance at the popular $199 to $259 price point,” said Ujesh Desai, general manager of GeForce desktop GPUs at Nvidia, in a statement. “Today we decided to raise the bar and deliver GeForce 8800 GT with 112 stream processors, a fast 256-bit memory interface, and our second-generation PureVideo HD technology, giving our customers an incredible value proposition.” “At this price point, gamers are getting more performance and features than ever before.”

AMD will indeed release its ‘RV670′ graphics chip on 19 November - as predicted - an analyst has claimed the company told him recently.
As yet, however, RV670’s go-to-market branding remains unknown - some pundits have suggested ATI Radeon HD 2950 Pro - but American Technology Research’s Doug Freedman last week told investors that the part will debut on 19 November. The part is a 55nm version of the existing ‘R600′ GPU core.
According to an ExtremeTech report, Freedman confirmed past reports that the two versions of RV670 due to be launched, ‘Gladiator’ and ‘Revival’, run at 825MHz and 750MHz, respectively.
